The Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is among of the departments of Cardinal Rugambwa Memorial College (CARUMCO) . It was established to address the increasing demand of ICT experts in the country by strengthening college’s teaching, research and public service in the ICT-related disciplines through a more efficient utilization of the available human and physical resources.
The Department offers Basic Technician certificate (1 year) and Diploma (2 years) of Information and communication Technology course that stress interactions between tutors and students who are committed to academic excellence. The department offers curricula that integrate scientific and ICT principles, Practical laboratory and Computer work by applying Problem Based learning approach to solve existing community challenges. Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) offers different course with a vision of teaching any one including beginners of computer who wants to upgrade or update their (ICT) knowledge.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1.INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY NTA LEVEL 4
Possession of at least four (4) (D) passes in Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE)
2.INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY NTA LEVEL 5-6
Holders of Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with at least one principle pass and subsidiary.
OR
Possession of the National Techinical Award (NTA) level 4 in ICT or a related field With atleat 2.0 GPA.
